Nordic Naturals Tear Sheet

I was lucky enough to be introduced to Nordic Naturals at a pet event I sponsored last year. Nordic creates several lines of high end fish oil supplements for both humans and canines. Once they took a look at the images in my booth, they knew my dog images would be a great fit to help promote their pet line. Here is the first AD they ran featuring a Murphy Dog Studios image.

This is Honey, a 4th month old Golden Retriever. Trailblazer – Love it!

Road Trip – Spring in Seattle

Do you live near Seattle and dream about having a one-of-a-kind Murphy Dog Studios portrait of your amazing dog? Now is your chance.

Last year we made our first trip to the Seattle area and it was so successful we decided to do it again. From May 6th-11th, Murphy Dog Studios is going on a road trip to photograph the beautiful dogs of the Great Northwest. To see some of the images from our first trip, checkout this slideshow.

Portrait sessions can be done at your house, local park, the beach or even in a downtown area. It’s up to you.

Spaces are limited and we are already half full. There is a $250 deposit required to secure your space. Contact Murphy Dog Studios for complete details.

Meow – Cat Photography

While 99% of my business comes from photographing dogs, I do get the occasional cat. Making a cat portrait is nothing like making one of a dog. Cats have their own agenda. They don’t pose on command, they don’t come when called and most often, they are terrified of my camera. Thankfully, I have captured several images of cats that I totally love and would like to share them with the world.

Everyone needs a Valentine

It’s not everyday I get to photograph a little girl and her puppy. This past weekend we finally had a break in the weather which gave us a chance to create this Valentine’s Day card. My client has a tradition of sending out a Valentine’s Day card each year with a photo of her daughter. When she contacted me, she said this year they had added a new puppy to the family and wanted to incorporate both her little girl and the pup into a whimsical card. Here is the final card and a few of the choices that didn’t make it.

The past six months on my iPhone

I love my iPhone. I mean, I really love my iPhone. As a certified gadget geek I’ve been using PDAs since the Apple Newton. I’ve had everything from Palm, Handspring, Windows CE and everything in between. The best part of the iPhone (besides the gratuitous internet surfing) is the camera. I always have my phone, which means I always have a camera. The worst part of the iPhone, no Adobe Flash (Steve Jobs deserves a slap across the face for that one). Here is a quick collection of images from the past six months. The irony is that if you are viewing this blog on your iPhone, you will only see a single image instead of the cool flash slide show.
